When I draw a new pattern (the red path containing a thinner yellow path), I cannot attach this to the path properly. The alternating red and yellow squares are taken from the aforementioned link and attach nicely to any path. Normally it fixes simply selecting the path and applying 'path>union'. Known distance on Image / Measured distance in program scaling factor eg 10m (on scale of printed map) / 2.74 (cm as measured in Inkscape) 3. Sometimes, when I draw a path on Inkscape, it misses to cut the last segment (you can watch it on the preview window). So take the known distance from the map (in this case 10m) and divide it by the measured distance in Inkscape (2.74cm). In Inkcut, select 'GPGL plotters (Graphtec)', under 'Properties' select interface>printer, name>silhouette portrait. However, when I try to do this with a pattern that only varies radially (not longitudinally), it doesn't attach properly to the path (using the Extensions -> Generate from Path -> Pattern along Path option). Add the Silhouette Portrait in 'printers'. So far, I've been following the discussion at:, where it is shown that a pattern can be applied to a path. Pen and marker inks can bleed, so make sure that your Draw lines have at least one lines width of space between them so they dont bleed together during transfer. This is shown (for drawing pipes) nicely in an Illustrator here, although I'm having difficulty recreating this effect in Inkscape. You can change the Linetype of any layer to Draw for Infusible Ink just like you do with other Cricut pen or marker projects. Add noise fill to it, with the same settings as in the first. I think this can be achieved by drawing a path and shading the edges of the path to be darker than the centre. On a new layer above it add a rectangle the size of the artwork and color it black, full opacity.
